Rosie Thomas
A Very Rosie Christmas!
Indie artist Rosie Thomas has managed to put together an LP that has pratically everything you'd want to find in a Christmas album, from dance-inducing original tracks like "Why Can't It Be Christmastime All Year?" to an enrapturing holiday ballads like "Christmastime Is Here."
What does it sound like? This compilation is understated yet elegant. Thomas's style is similar to her friend, indie rock star Sufjan Stevens; Both capitalize on performing songs in a bold, bright manner that radiates with life and joy.
Perfect for playing while getting ready for a great night out at a Christmas shindig.
Standout tracks: An enchanting cover of Joni Mitchell's haunting song "River," "Alone at Christmastime"
