Red Light, Green Light
Supplies: A car for each child (optional) License plate for each child Giant "GO" and "STOP" signs attached to dowels for adult
How To Play: Line children up on one side of the yard, adult stands at the other end. When "GO" sign is raised the children may move toward the adult holding the sign. When "STOP" sing is raised children must stop their cars in their tracks. If they do not stop they must go back to the start position. First child to reach the adult and touch them, or cross the "Finish Line" wins.
Racetrack Cake
To create the racetrack: Place two round cakes next to each other on one large covered piece of cardboard. Frost with green-tinted vanilla frosting creating a bridge to attach the two cakes. Line the outside and inside rims of the cake with Mike 'n Ikes or Gum Drops, alternating colors.
Make traffic light: Spread a small amount of frosting on back of graham-cracker half and press onto flat popsicle stick. Frost front of cracker and attach red, yellow and green candies. Push traffic light stick into one cake and place a couple cars on each cake between the tracks.
