Here are some ideas for throwing a Toy Story Party:

Placemats. These can be done two different ways.

Coloring placemat - Save the coloring page in a picture format (such as GIF or BMP). Open your graphics software (Broderbund's Print Shop works great for this). Adjust the size of a printable coloring page to fit in "landscape mode". Add the child's name in plain print (or open block to be able to color their name). The children would color their own placemat. Cover with Con-Tac paper so they can reuse it over and over.

Full Color Placemat - Take a full color picture and save it in a picture format (such as GIF or BMP). Open your graphics software. Adjust the page for "landscape mode" IF it is not already in landscape mode. Add the child's name in plain print. Cover with Con-Tac paper so they can reuse it over and over.

Note: I like to put a picture on each side so the placemat becomes reversible. These placemats are very popular with children. Mine still have their placemats from 2 years ago and use them!

Hot Wheel Racing: In the Movie Toy Story, a Hot Wheel track was set up. Set up 2 Hot Wheel tracks (hooked to a table...straight track) side by side. As a party favor, give each child their own (different) Hot Wheel car. Then you could have Hot Wheel races. There need not be prizes, for young kids, they'll just have fun racing.

If you have small characters from the movie (i.e. toy prizes in a kids meal or from sets you buy from the store), then play a memory game. Memory game: Take a dinner plate or cookie sheet and place 4 different characters on the plate. Let the children see what characters are on the plate. Cover with a cloth or towel. Reach your hand under the cloth and pull out one character (don't let them see it!). Take off the cloth and have the children guess which character is missing.
This game can be increased in difficulty with adding additional characters. This was a popular game at my son's Preschool and I adapted it to fit this theme.

Wooden Block Stacking - Have wooden square blocks out for them to play with. If you want a "directed activity", see who can stack them the highest.

If your budget allows for it, purchase the characters in a set and give each child a different character for their party gift. Only problem you may have here is that everyone may like the SAME character. Solve this by buying only 1 style of character and giving everyone the same.

Toy Story Coloring Books. Print these off and give them as an inexpensive party gift. I printed a special cover for the front with the child's name on the front (make sure you use plain type so they recognize their name!). I printed the coloring sheets on front and back and then took them to the local office supply store. At the store I GBC hole punched them, purchased the spines, and used their machine to GBC bind them. These were a hit!
